Renders of the Sony Xperia Z4 leaked out

Sony Xperia Z4 render

The Sony Xperia Z4 is expected to be unveiled very soon, with the smartphone frequenting the rumor mill of late. A new leak however has given us our very first look of the smartphone. What you see above is supposedly a press rendering of the flagship, something which is expected to be prominently seen on advertisements and other promotional materials from Sony following the launch.

The revelation was made by the same source that gave us the dimensions of the Xperia Z4 flagship. While not much can be ascertained from this leak, we can see that Sony has utilized a volume rocker key on the right hand side of the handset, which is in line with previous Xperia flagships from the company.

The home screen UI looks pretty familiar to what we saw on the Xperia Z3 as well as the Xperia Z4 Tablet this month, so it is possible that the company isn’t making a lot of modifications to its Android 5.0 ROM. The clock on the device is showing the date to be 12th of September, which raises some suspicion in our minds.

In any case, take this report with a pinch of salt as there’s no evidence to prove its authenticity yet. The smartphone is rumored to feature a Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 810 chipset and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
